About Us

How Cold Canyon Electric came to be and who we are today……

Dave, being an Arizona native, moved with wife Tracy back to Montrose, Tracy’s hometown, in 2005 just in time for the worst winter to hit Montrose for 20 years. He deemed that even in summertime all the canyons were cold. So when it came to name his new venture in 2008 Cold Canyon Electric was the winning pick and has been operating as such ever since.

Starting out as a single guy in a single truck we have grown over the years to employ 8 crews servicing Montrose, Telluride, Crested Butte and surrounding areas. Dave has held his Master Electrician License since 2007 and our crew members are Licensed Journeyman Electricians, Residential Wireman and Apprentice Electricians. We are proud to be a training company offering schooling and on the job training to our employees.

We offer a wide range of services from troubleshooting electrical issues to complete builds. Additionally, we staff Certified Installers for Lutron Smart Home Systems and Generac Generators giving you the best option for quality work by people who have been trained by the companies you trust.
